George William Fennell, III passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the age of 74. George was born on March 5, 1949 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the oldest son of George William,Jr. and Ada (nee Jones) Fennell. After graduating high school, George took several classes through a couple colleges and obtained his Associates Degree. He started working as a dyemaker and machinist and found his niche. George was good at what he did and worked for different companies over the years before retiring in 2018.On November 26, 1980, George married Michelle and they shared many years together before her passing. He was an avid golfer and being on the course was his happy place. George also enjoyed horseback riding and never missed an opportunity to have a glass of good bourbon with family and friends. His infamous chuckle will be missed by all who knew him. George loved his family and would always talk about his children and especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted friend and his passing has left a void in the hearts of all who called him a friend. George will be greatly missed. George is survived by his children, Erin Risher, Nathan (Darci) Fennell, Courtney Fennell, Janine King and Melanie Fennell; grandchildren, Daniel, Alexandra, Andrew, Julia, Makyla, Kyle, Luke, Nathan and Ivy; brother, Fred Fennell; and many extended family and countless friends. George was preceded in death by his wife, Michelle; daughter, Jacqueline Fennell and parents. Visitation for George will take place on Monday, January 8, 2023 from2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. funeral service at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb
