February 28, 2022, 1:38 PM · My mother passed early this morning at the hospital with me by her side, exactly eight months after her terrible ordeal began. Words can not express my grief. My sister and I are devastated. Our only consolation is that she is no longer suffering and she didn’t die in a crappy nursing rehab alone. Thank you to all the friends who showed your support in so many ways over the past several months. It meant the world to us and my mom. Her last words to me, Sunday night, were “I love you two, too.”
