Dennis M. Huey of New Lothrop, age 61, died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Brian’s House, Davison. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Rossell Funeral Home, Flushing. Pastor Allen Lindke will officiate. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be 1-9 p.m. Monday. A Service of Remembrance will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Sinai Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brian’s House, or McLaren Visiting Nurse & Hospice.

Dennis was born in Detroit, MI on April 7, 1949, the son of Charles Z. and Helen C. (Steffy) Huey. He married Valorie M. Smith on February 12, 1972 in Flint.

Dennis retired from GM in Bay City in 2004. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He loved his family very much.

Dennis is survived by: his wife, Valorie; four children, Eric and wife Mandy Huey of Flushing, Lisa and husband Steve Williams of New Lothrop, Rebecca and husband Don Krupp of Chesaning, Amy and husband Matthew Handley of Chesaning; seven grandchildren, Devon, Rylee, Nick, Alex, Elyssa, Avery, and Allie; two brothers, Larry and wife Joanne Huey of Lenox Twp., Bob and wife Denise Huey of Bowling Green, Ohio; sister, Marianne and husband Chuck Gibson of Mt. Clemens; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
